Plastimul 2K Plus
Two-component, solvent-free, quick-drying, high flexibility bitumen waterproofing emulsion containing cellulose fibres.
WHERE TO USE
Plastimul 2K Plus is used for waterproofing horizontal and vertical concrete and brickwork surfaces at low temperatures and high levels of humidity. Once dry, which is quicker thanks to the fillerized hydraulic binder contained in the product, it forms a highly flexible waterproof coating. Plastimul 2K Plus may also be used for spot-bonding insulating panels used to protect the perimeter of the waterproofing layer.
SOME APPLICATION EXAMPLES
Plastimul 2K Plus is used for:
- waterproofing foundations, basements, underground garages and tanks from the outside;
- waterproofing load-bearing walls.
TECHNICAL CHARACTERISTICS
Plastimul 2K Plus is a two-component, solvent-free, rapid-drying, highly flexible bitumen waterproofing emulsion containing cellulose fibres.
Plastimul 2K Plus is solvent-free, odourless, ecological, easy to work with, contains recycled material and is resistant to aggressive substances contained in the ground. Thanks to its thixotropic consistency it may also be applied in thick coats on vertical surfaces.
Plastimul 2K Plus meets the requirements for polymer modified bituminous thick coatings, in compliance with EN 15814.
Plastimul 2K Plus bonds well to both dry and slightly damp surfaces. Thanks to a radon gas diffusion coefficient of 4.47·10-13 m² s-1, Plastimul 2K Plus is certified as a passive barrier for radon gas.
RECOMMENDATIONS
Do not use Plastimul 2K Plus in the following cases:
- mixed with solvents;
- if the temperature is lower than +5°C or higher than +30°C;
- in damp or rainy weather;
- to waterproof surfaces exposed to UV rays;
- with water in counter-pressure;
- if there is no protective drainage layer;
- if the drainage layer subjects the waterproofing layer to linear or spot loads.

STORAGE: Plastimul 2K Plus may be stored for up to 12 months in a dry place at a temperature of at least +5°C.
